I went back home yesterday to have a family dinner. I t was a treat for my beloved mother. Though the exact day falls on Sunday, my sister planned of having it early since she'll be busy in the coming weekends. We had our dinner somewhere in Kampung Baru. I barely remember the name of the restaurant, but I could give some hints of how it looks like. It was a cowboy style of restaurant. They wore the cowboy hat and suprisingly my dad came out with his own joke to call the waiter with the word "howdie, howdie" in a country slang.
Guess what was the waiter responded ? " Ha pakcik ?" Ha ha.
The kitchen is widely open, therefore customers could see how they handle the meals. Most of the decorations were about country musics and cowboy. It was simple but attractive.
If you are about to give a try of how the kampung baru cowboy serve their western style, please order Lamb Shoulder, ....... Eye ( I don't remember the first name) and sizling Beef . The sizling is not like what you've been eaten before, it was similiar to black peper steak in Cozy Corner.
